31st (2011) US Open Sandcastle Competition

The 'Progression of Perfection'. 33 teams met on the sand of Imperial Beach to battle it out at the '31st US Open Sandcastle Competition'. I started shooting when the competition began at 9:00am. I walked up and down the beach several times for the next five hours photographing each team building their masterpiece.
